"Aspens by Moonlight" -- Limited edition tips 1/1

Have you ever walked through an aspen wood by moonlight? Or, camped overnight in the Colorado mountains, surrounded by aspen trees? Then this astounding piece of Picasso Jasper needs absolutely no explanation.

Wonderful quadrilateral cabochon set, and framed, in sterling silver, and surrounded by sterling rope. Finished with unique hand made tips in sterling silver. I'm planning on making only one pair of these tips -- unique stones deserve unique tips.

The bola measures approximately 2.5" x 1.25". Tips measure 2.25" long. Four ply, 42", black cord.

All bolas come with a velvet, draw-string storage bag -- perfect for gift giving.

"Pollack" -- Limited Edition Tips 1/1

For all the arts connoisseurs out there.
Incredible shades of terracotta, cream and smoky gray create a Pollack like painting in this cabochon.

This unusual Leopardskin Jasper cabochon is cut in a graceful arcing triangular shape, and set in sterling silver -- surrounded with sterling silver rope. The tension bars, which hold the cord firmly on the reverse of the bola, are also made of sterling silver.

It was a cold snowy day when I sat in my cozy turquoise-shack-of-a-studio making this bolo. I didn't want to leave the roaring wood-stove and face the two minute trek back to my house -- "so what", you're saying...well, I stayed late, and went a bit overboard on the tips. This pair of tips are a very limited edition from Rosie. I think they're one of my best pairs of hand made tips -- sterling silver with heavy, hand made beaded ends. I won't be duplicating them.

Bola setting measures 2" x 1.5" at widest point. Bola tips measure 2 and 3/8 inches long. Black, 6 ply, leather bola cord.

As with all my bolas, this bola comes in a velvet storage bag.

Hep Cat

A fabulous, natural, Baltic honey amber cabochon, steeply domed.
I've backed this gorgeous stone with leopard foil...result?..They won't quite believe their eyes.

The amber is set in sterling and surrounded by heavy sterling rope.

Real Cool Cat...

As in..Snow Cat...Certainly not for the mundane.
An unusual shaped cabochon. An unusual stone. Are you an unusual Cat? Leopard-skin Jasper set in sterling, and surrounded by two triangles of sterling rope. Hand made sterling tips finished with coils of sterling rope. Bolo measures 2.25" long x 1.25" wide. Tips measure just over 2" long. Brown 42" 4ply bola cord.

Kachina

Beginning with the winter solstice, and continuing through July, Kachina ceremonies fill the villages of Hopi. Hopi men don Kachina masks and elaborate costumes to give shape and visual understanding to the invisible Kachina spirits who have sustained the Hopi life for a thousand years or more. Today, a Hopi man who wears the appropriate Kachina mask, body paint and costume in a Hopi ceremony believes that his personal identity is transformed into the Kachina spirit he represents.

Large, vibrant, iridescent, scarlet Paua Shell cabochon. Set in sterling silver and surrounded with sterling silver. Hand crafted, hammered, sterling silver bola tips, finished with 1.5" (4cms) sterling kachina doll. Cabichon and setting measure 2" x 1.5" (50 x 40 cm). Braided, 4 strand, black leather, 42" (106cm) bola cord.

Icarus

Daedalus made wings of wax and feathers for himself and his son Icarus, so that they might flee from Minos. Daedalus cautioned Icarus not to fly too close to the sun as the wax wings would melt. But, heady with flight, Icarus soared higher and higher.....only
to melt his wings and fall into the sea. The moral of this story: Soaring is good. Soaring + parachute is better.

An absolutely huge Baltic honey amber cabochon. High dome, freeform, set in sterling silver and surrounded with a hammered sterling silver surround which I've drizzled with 14K gold. Hand made sterling silver tips adorned with a hand crafted sterling silver feather, and rimmed with an abstract design. Cabochon measures 2" x 1.5" (6cm x4cm). Total setting measures 2.5"
x 2" (6.5cm x 5.5cm). Four ply, 42" (106cm), dark brown bola cord.


	*Brazil* Working with your hands is very rewarding. However it has a downside. For instance these cufflinks had a working title of "carpal-tunnel-syndrome". Hand filing around delicate sterling beading takes it toll. (-: Brazilian Amethyst cufflinks, set in sterling and surrounded with sterling beading. Total measurement including setting of 3/4" x 5/8" (1.5cm x 2cm). Finished with a rigid sterling "bent link" and sterling silver nugget. Deeply domed cabochons -- opulent. A note for the ladies: Not just for the gents -- I wear cufflinks with all my French Cuff shirts...after all, why should the fellas have all the flash.

Samurai

Glorious emerald green malachite cabochon. Wonderful color -- superb striations! Set in sterling silver. Surrounded by sterling scalloped beading. Hand made tips of hammered sterling silver, banded with oriental design. Four strand, 42", leather, braided bolo cord. Bolo measures 1.75" x 1.5". Tips measure 2.25" long.

After midnight.....

Just about anything can happen.....and should...... from time to time.
Lapis Lazuli, rich indigo with silver speckled matrix -- like a star ridden night sky. This wonderful cabochon is set in sterling silver and surrounded with sterling. Hand made tips of hammered sterling silver topped with fine sterling beading and finished with sterling howling coyotes.
Bolo measures 1.75" x 1.5" approx. Tips measure approx. 2.25" long with 1.25" coyote adornment. 42" black, braided, leather, bolo cord.

Cruisin'

Beautiful, stamped, sterling silver concho hatband. Each concho set with a 5mm blue/green Kingman turquoise cabochon. Gorgeous stuff! Each conch is approximately 1" in diameter. The conchos are attached to a 3/4" black leather band using copper backs, in the traditional SW style. Knock-out!

Bermuda Triangle

It's a show stopper! Fabulous, large, Caribbean blue turquoise cabochon, cut in triangular shape. Beautiful silver-gray matrix -- like islands seen from the air. Set in sterling silver, surrounded by sterling rope.
Hand made bolo tips, of hammered, sterling silver with sterling bead trim. Bolo measures 2.5" x 2" at widest point. Six strand, black, braided, 42" bolo string. Bolo tips measure 2" tall.

The Bermuda Triangle stretches from Florida to the islands of Bermuda, to Puerto Rico and then back to Florida. Stay home....buy the bolo!
